Telugu Badminton Club of Canterbury (TBCC) will be hosting the 2022 End of Year Tournament on Sunday, 11th December 2022.
TBCC has already successfully organised three tournaments this year with big participation from players from diverse ethnicities.
The End of Year is an open tournament and will feature Women's Doubles and Men's Doubles. The tournament aims to showcase the talent and skill of all levels including juniors from professional and amateur players.
Rajeswar from TBCC tells us, “The purpose of this tournament is to connect various communities through sport and bring the best out of a player, providing an opportunity to all the communities to participate in a sports event. Through this tournament, we are aiming to build a strong badminton community in and around Christchurch.”
After initial rounds, the teams will gain entry into the appropriate division based on their performance, with Division A being the top division having cash prizes and medals to recognize the winners.
The tournament is being held at Badminton Hall, 220 Pages Road Wainoni, played on 8 courts on Sunday, 11 December 2022. It is being sponsored by Generation Homes.
