National Party MP from Maungakiekie, Denise Lee, is all set to launch a clean-up drive in her electorate this week starting from Wednesday, April 18 to Saturday, April 21.

The clean-up drive is being organised in a partnership between Neighbourly, and The Warehouse, which strives to encourage Kiwis to make their community a cleaner and greener place to live.

“I’m very happy to do my bit to spruce up our local landscape. Maungakiekie is a great electorate and one I take huge pride in. Showing my area a little love is a no-brainer, and I hope many others feel the same” Ms Lee said.

“We may be doing something small, but picking up little wayward rubbish will reap big results. Plus, it’s a great way to connect with each other and help our environment at the same time.

The cleaning drive, though unrelated, but seems to be timely in the light of recent weather bomb that hit Auckland and had left a lot of mess in the neighbourhood.

As part of the partnership between Neighbourly and The Warehouse, Ms Lee is hosting four clean-up events in the electorate.
